Will exercise make cellulite more noticeable?
I have cellulite on my thighs, legs, arms and of course on my backside. I've been trying to do consistent exercises just to tone back up. However, I am noticing that the Cellulite seems to be getting worse. I drink water, cranberry juice and all to help eliminate toxins.
It definitely wont make your cellulite more noticable! excercise is essential for getting rid of cellulite.
You should do both cardiovascular and anareaobic exercises 3-4 times/week, coupled with a healthy diet. Specifically you want to perform exercises that are going to help your specific area such as lunges, running, sit ups, squats and deadlifts. The last two are super-effective because they are compound (they involve plenty of muscle groups), but are also strenous, and should be done at a later phase.
Also you might want to reconsider your bad habits – coffee, processed, salty and fatty food, alcohol, lack of excercise, smoking, not drinking enough water, the list goes on. I have also had some success with creams and resveratrol.
Anyway, adopting good habits and good excercise routine is a key to removing cellulite.

cellulite is just uneven fat under thin skin. In order to get rid of cellulite you have to lose weight and do more than toning exercises. Do some cardio, try 30 to 45 mins 3x a week along with your toning exercises. Some good ones for lower body in those areas are squats, lunges, and leg raises. in order to attack the fat you gotta get it full force… cardio and weights. good luck

Ahhh cellulite.
Even I am really thin (5'4" 113lbs) and I have very noticable cellulite.
It's misunderstood. It's an accumulation of fat under the skin and the connective tissue can't stretch with the fat, causing it to pull. This causes a dimple. It's not caused by "toxins" or whatever like magazines or massage therapists say; it's all genetic.
There are many approaches that you need to take and stick very strictly to.
Go on a very low-fat diet, but one that is still rich in all the protein and nutrients that you need, and that can still fill you up. Eat things like lots of veggies, fruit…these are watery but filling because of the fiber. Eat egg whites, they have like no fat, only about 20 calories, but have tons of protein. Eat whole grains which have lots of fiber and very little fat. Stay far away from saturated fats-these are the WORST! The key is to fill up with the least amount of fat possible. Calories aren't too much of an issue if you eat the right types of foods.
Exercise…do things that will slowly burn fat away. Walking, power-walking on the treadmill, jogging. Resistance training helps after you're warmed up. Free weights work wonders because it's your whole body actually doing the work, and burning the fat away to do it. Do everything slow and controlled, so you burn it slowly but surely. You need to use what's called slow-twitch muscles (we have slow and fast) which use energy at a slow and constant rate to work. (as opposed to fast-twitch which uses 'artificial' energy quickly to work. kinda hard to explain without a long human physiology lesson hahha.)
Another thing is to find creams that have caffeine in them, this opens blood vessels on the surface of the skin, reducing the appearance of the cellulite. I've never tried them but I hear they work well.
I really hope I helped.

I've seen some really thin people with cellulite. Hell, I have a little bit of cellulite and I'm twelve years old and fairly thin. Try cardio workouts to get rid of it, along with your toning exercises.

Hi Janine D,
All you need are exercises that specifically target the problem cellulite areas. See the link below for such an exercise program.
Good luck

No, exercise will not make cellulite more noticeable. In fact, because exercise (cardio) blasts away the fat deposits (cellulite is nothing more than fat deposit that is in pocket form that's normally found in hips, thighs, abs and butts), the cellulite becomes less noticeable.
The best exercise to blast and torch away the cellulite is cardio exercise because it's the most powerful and most direct way to hike up your metabolism to higher levels, making you better able to burn off all excess fat from your entire body, hence reducing the chance of fat depositing in your hips, thighs etc that degenerates to become cellulite.
Here's a guide on how cardio exercise helps to reduce your cellulite: http://www.perfect-body-toning.com/exercise-for-cellulite.html
