what is the best product to help eliminate cellulite?

i have celluite around my stomach and buttocks. i am using an over the counter products but they don't last very long.

Squats, butt lifts, lunges and ham string excercises work best.
Also, you can check out Velasmooth, Endermologie and Mesotherapy.

Cellulite is caused by two things, 1) Fatty tissue and 2) Connective tissue.

The first can be taken care of primarily by diet and working out. Drink your fair share of water, don't eat too much and work out to maintain your metabolism.

The second is more problematic and gets worse as you age because collagen is not regenerated so the tissue becomes less elastic and of course most people gain weight as they age because of a less active life style and a drop in metabolism. This is where Velasmooth or mesotherapy come in handy.

There is no product that lasts long according to Dr. Mehmet Oz. You don't need to buy products. If you have someone massage that area of the body, it will help.

Well there is a product by Lorea'l, called sublime slim…to take away cellulite. I don't have much but it seems to be working. they have a day and night gel and one for the abs as well. Supposed to tone and smooth. I like it. Find it at CVS pharmacy.

Unfortunatley, cellulite is genetic. Even if you lose weight, it doesn't mean your cellulite will go away. I've heard of some professional creams and treatments, but too be honest they cost a lot of money and I'm not sure that they do much.

As a quick fix, you can rub preperation H anywhere (including your cheeks) to tighten your skin for a night. I know it sounds gross, but my coach who is a body builder does it all the time/

I'd first like to start off by saying PLEASE ignore anyone recommending any products. All of those "miracle" cellulite removal products have one common fault: they have been FDA approved to reduce the APPEARANCE of cellulite. Considering these results are temporary, the products are costly, and the cellulite is not REMOVED by these products… it is definitely not worth wasting your money.

While there are no miracle cures or guarantees, your best bet at actually removing cellulite is simple, cheap, and effective:

    1) Regular massages. Massages help circulate blood to remove excess fluids and toxins that cause cellulite.
    2) Regular exercise. Again, poor blood circulation is an important factor in cellulite formation (the other factor is genetics, which is out of your control).
    3) Proper dieting and nutrition. Cellulite is chemically identical to fat, and your best defense against fat is eating healthy.

A study by Stephen Barrett, M.D. that debunks cellulite myths about removal techniques can be found here:

Note "The Bottom Line", in which he states:

"The amount of fat in the body is determined by the individual's eating and exercise habits, but the distribution of fat in the body is determined by heredity. In most cases reduction of a particular part can be accomplished only as part of an overall weight-reduction program. Endermologie may temporarily improve the appearance of dimpled areas, but the procedure is time-consuming and expensive. "

Also, if you're looking for exercises and routines to perform, some common exercises that are effective in fighting cellulite can be found here:

Hope this helps. Best of luck to you.
