Sauna & Skin Care
At times I suffer from dry skin. I get red patches above my nose between my eyes which get dry and itchy. This can also affect my cheeks. The one thing that clears this up for me is a sauna session. After coming out of the sauna my skin is really red, however shortly after it looks fine and my little red dry patches disappear.
An infrared sauna uses infrared light which is different to a traditional sauna. The traditional sauna is electric, wood or gas-fired. The traditional sauna gets extremely hot and heats the air whereas the infrared light from an infrared sauna penetrates through the body heating you and not necessarily your surroundings. This helps to break up fatty deposits and eliminate toxins. The funny thing is that you can’t see the light, but it is penetrating the skin.
Bathing in a hot sauna relaxes the muscles, reduces Cellulite and smoothes the skin. Some of the ways to get rid of toxins through the skin include sauna and skin brushing just to name a few. With a sauna the skin is cleansed from the inside out.
If you are reasonably healthy, you can bathe in a sauna as often as you like without worrying about health effects. Many of the health benefits are clinically proven. The sauna is definitely a great tool to work with for skin rejuvenation. The far infrared sauna is like a skin treatment spa. This helps to soften your skin and the heat can help remove tension in your muscles. This type of sauna is great for improving blood circulation to the skin, which is vital for beautiful, youthful, glowing skin.

How to take care of skin FAST?
I heard that you have to wash your face in the morning and at night. I take a shower every night and wash my face with St. Ives Apricot Scrub. I don’t have anything good to use for the morning, so what should i do?
Also i heard that once a week you have to run hot water in the sink and cover ur head with a towel to make this mini sauna so the steam goes into ur pores or something. Why do u have to do this?
also, i need some other tips for skin care, like how to get rid of zits fast, and anything that might help!
thx

First of all, the St. Ives scrub has HUGE hard, scratching pieces in it! Don’t do it!!
I wash my face at night with olive oil (yes, the real stuff) and rinse it off with cool water then pat dry. After that I apply Stri Vectin and go to bed with that on. It soaks in and has really helped both my wrinkles and blackheads. I use Avon exfoliate on my face only once a week. This has a very small scrubbing bead and will not tear up your skin.

First off do not use that scrub every day. You should only use something like that twice a week, after you clean your face.
Find a pure & natural face wash, toner and day cream
repeat at night – I’d implement that scrub twice a week –
If you have acne you need an acne regime – acne free -
nutragena –
Your best bet to open pores is a hot compress wet and heat in micro for double warmth, apply it to your face to draw dirt out and repeat – then wash face – and use toner etc.

I suggest pure and natural products
berts bee, aveeno nutragena
neutrogena rapid clear oil control foaming facial cleanser
$6.50 @ Walmart or Target
It’s very mild and really makes you skin feel clean. My husband has been an acne sufferer since he was a teenager and this is the only face wash he swears by!
Do you think that using the apricot scrub everyday might be a little harsh on your skin? You can open your pores with the hot water, and then wash it with a mild facial cleanser. It’s supposed to clear out your pores.

Wash your face each morning with a mild complexion soap. If you want, follow that with Witch Hazel as a toner/astringent. There are a lot of anti-acne skin care systems on the market, and you are the only one who can determine which is best for your skin. Go to the skin care aisle of you local Walgreen’s or WalMart and check out the various products. If you prefer, there are several excellent soaps to use, Ivory bar soap, Neutrogena bar soap, Pears bar soap. My grandmother kept her complexion pefect by using original Cuticura soap and ointment. Please DON’T try steaming your face, it only drives the impurities that clog pores deeper into the pores setting your complexion up for major trouble. Most home remedies are useless and actually harmful to the skin. One good zit zapper is a cream called ZapZit, you can find it in your local Dollar General Store.

The sauna system is to make you sweat-plain and simple. The more you sweat, the cleaner your pores are. Sweat cannot come out of blocked pores, so it pushes out dirt and oil, and fresh sweat clears them. Attractive, huh? But make sure to wash your face after you sweat, or else that sweat will become dirty and clog your pores, starting the whole gross process again. *yay*
My sister is a model, and she uses this fast, very cheap system of clear skin. Baking soda. no joke. twice each week, say ,friday and tuesday, take a yogurt cup full of baking soda in the shower with you. Clean your body the same way you usually do, and them use a soft scrubber *NOT a poofy loofah, but a clean back scrubber that can actually hold the baking soda on it* put some baking soda on it, and start washing! Your whole body, except your girly parts *ouch*. the baking soda is small and rough enough to get into your pores, and the acidity kills bacteria which causes infections *pimples* without the rash or skin dryness caused by acne products. Then just rinse it off, it leaves no residue or smell, just clean shiny skin! it shows results right away, especially if you wear makeup. your skin won’t look dull and "ruddy" anymore from having bits of dead skin and makeup all over. The sauna thing works on your face, unless you have a whole body sauna you can use. This baking soda thing works on your whole body, even your bak and any other embarrassing parts that get pimples *ews*
